Scott Fitzgibbon Fine Arts Grant

Honoring a Legacy. Supporting the Future.

The Scott Fitzgibbon Fine Arts Grant celebrates the life and contributions of Scott Fitzgibbon, a founding board member of Oso Productions and a lifelong advocate for theatre education and performance. This annual grant supports students pursuing education and training in performing and technical theatre. Whether you're stepping into the spotlight or working behind the scenes, we want to support your artistic journey.

Students who have participated in an Oso Productions show or event and are continuing their education preferably in the performing or technical arts are eligible to apply for the Scott Fitzgibbon Fine Arts Grant. Award amounts begin at $250 and may vary depending on available funding and the number of applicants.

To apply, students must complete the online application form, which includes several required components. While a resume is not required, it is recommended for applicants with extensive artistic involvement or training. Before beginning your application, make sure you have the following items ready:

  • Basic contact and school information

  • A creative submission responding to the prompt: “Why is supporting the arts important?”

  • Verification of participation in a past Oso Productions event (e.g., a playbill listing your name, a letter from a director, or a production credit)

  • An optional resume outlining your artistic experience, training, or achievements

When you're ready to apply, click the button below to begin. The application allows you to save your progress and return later if needed. All materials must be submitted by April 1 at 11:59 PM MT local time.
